I finally figured out why I make weird career decisions

CAREER COACH

FOR WORKING MOMS

I've always been the person who makes career decisions that look crazy from the outside.

Pay cut for a smaller role? ✅

Leaving stable jobs for unknown opportunities? ✅

Following gut instincts over spreadsheet logic? ✅

People thought I was either brave or reckless. Turns out, I was just being myself.

Last week I discovered Human Design - basically a personality system that creates your 'user manual for life' based on your birth details.

According to Human Design, I'm a Generator (30-35% of people are). We're guided by gut instinct and do our best work when we follow what lights us up.

Finally, my weird career moves make sense.

I wrote about this in a LinkedIn post:

'I started a new job that I really enjoy. But the money doesn't match what I want!' I had to respond to this comment because I lived this exact scenario.

A few years ago, I took a pay cut for a smaller role. It wasn't some intuitive leap - it was pure necessity. I needed the money to support my family. The most logical, practical choice available.

Here's why this matters for your career: When you understand how you're wired, you stop trying to force strategies that work for other people.

That's why 'follow your passion' advice feels wrong to some people - they're not Generators. And why networking events drain some people while energizing others.

Your career struggles might not be about doing something wrong. You might just be doing what's right for someone else's design, not yours.

Ready to stop fighting your natural wiring?

I'm opening 5 career coaching spots for working moms who are tired of career advice that doesn't fit. Hit reply for details on our 30-minute strategy session.

That's it for now.

Talk soon.
