I started a podcast in November 2020. And gave up on it in November 2023.

After 128 episodes, I quit.

I burnt out trying to keep it going despite it not getting

  • The listeners I wanted
  • The leads I planned for
  • The downloads I anticipated

Reader, when you’re putting in the reps and don’t get results, it’s easy to feel defeated.

  • What’s the point?
  • Why waste your energy?
  • Or time you could be spending with your kids?

These were my thoughts.

I had forgotten when I started, I also wanted to

  • Overcome my fear of approaching guests
  • Get ‘free’ coaching sessions from them through the podcast LOL
  • Build a community of like-minded women who support and empower each other

All of which I’d accomplished.

If you’re feeling defeated because you’ve invested time, energy and money and still aren't where you want to be, remember:

  • Building a business is a very long game
  • Treat the process like listening to your favorite song - enjoy the moment
  • Make sure your daily business activities build momentum, not just keep you busy

Taking my own advice, I decided to bring back my weekly solo podcast episodes after a year!

Beginning with what I wished I knew when I started.

I'd love to hear what you thought about the episode.

Should I do more of such solo episodes? Y/N?

Hit reply and let me know!

As the sole provider, I faced an impossible choice: Keep the job and risk losing my family. Or quit and risk our financial security. I chose my family and resigned. Then reality hit: No income. Bills still coming. Mortgage still...
