Reader, Nobody ever has spare cash or time lying around. But when it matters, somehow you find it. Like signing your kids up for activities they want, buying your loved ones a fancy birthday dinner, or in my case, investing in myself and my dream business. Last night, I finally dropped $3k on a program I've been thinking about doing for the past 2 years. Each time I had wanted to do it, it felt like too much money - money I didn't have. This time, it isn't that I have the money - of course there's always a bill I can pay off with that money - but I found the money. Or at least, a way to find that money for this program that I believe will be worth it. So why did I finally do it? Unlike what most people believe, we all make financial decisions from our emotions and beliefs first, then use logic to rationalize it. Instead of fighting this, I've come to accept this and learn to work with it. I decided to finally buy the program because I believe it would help me get into a better state of mind, heart, and spirit that would ultimately help me take the physical actions to get what I want in life - specifically, build my dream coaching business. I observe and study successful people as a past time. And what I've noticed is they just operate at another level - a different mentality, seemingly superhuman dedication, and they just do the (often simple) things others just aren't willing to. I want to be this kind of person. And I believe this program will help me become that person. We make our dreams come true not by the actions we take alone, but by the person we're being. It's as straightforward as that. So next time you're caught up with indecision - just take a moment - or 2 years if you're like me lol - and be honest with yourself:
These were the questions I asked myself. Then I went ahead and signed up for the program. I know however it turns out, I'll become a better version of myself - a version closer to who I have to be to make my dreams a reality. And that made it worth it to me. That's it from me this week. If you have 15 minutes, catch this week's podcast where I share some nuggets of inspiration and wisdom from people I'm following about doing work you love and building your dream. I came across their advice the morning after I bought that program. It felt like confirmation from the universe that I was doing the right thing. So I recorded my thoughts on it. Hi Reader, I ended up the breadwinner, and started a business on the side of my job out of necessity.
