[Podcast] After 7 months away, my podcast is back!

Hello Reader,

I'm excited to share that after a 7-month break, I'm back with the podcast :)

I started the podcast during the pandemic in 2020 with weekly episodes (mostly!) until 7 months ago when I burnt out.

Even when you're doing something you're passionate about, you can burn out.

I spent a lot of 2023 feeling lost and confused.

What was I even side-hustling for when I wasn't getting the results I wanted?

As someone who was constantly sharing the message of persistence, faith and self-trust, I was losing it myself!

So I stopped.

I took the break I knew I needed and now I'm back, energised and refreshed.

If you're going through a period of 'darkness', know that it's completely ok to take a break so you can come back rejuvenated.

It's one thing to power through and another to know when you're reaching the point of crashing.

Persistence and pushing through are good to a certain extent. For high-achieving and ambitious women like us, it's how we became successful in our careers and lives.

But it cannot be at the cost of your well-being.

And you know it's coming at the expense of your well-being when it affects your mood and brings your energy down.

This is when you need to trust your body, mind and being to know you need to take a breath. This is what self-trust means - to know that it's ok to take heed and action based on what your body, mind and being are saying to you, without fear or worry it's the 'wrong' decision.

So here we are, back with Episode 129 of the rebranded podcast, Building a Business!

I'll be interviewing women from all walks of life who are crafting careers based on their own definitions of success.

Maybe throw a few solo episodes in with my own lessons and insights too.

I'm starting back up slowly and cautiously with a series of monthly episodes over the next 4 to 6 months to ease myself back in.

And who better to kick this off with than Evelyn Poh?

Evelyn is a financial coach who helps people build the lives they want without running out of money. Now isn't that what we all want?

She spent 20 years at Goldman Sachs working in London, Zurich and Tokyo, and qualified as a chartered accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).

Evelyn left her lucrative and successful career at Goldman's to start the Financial Styling Academy.

What is Financial Styling?

Well, you'll have to listen to the podcast to find out more!
