Most people are taught to build their lives around one source of income. Go to school. Get a good job. Work hard. Stay loyal. And everything will work out. I believed that too. Then life taught me otherwise. My husband and I shut down a business and were left with a six-figure debt. I returned to corporate life to recover. Shortly after, I was laid off while I was the sole provider for my family. That experience changed how I think about work forever. Not because jobs are bad. I've spent nearly 30 years building a career in HR and leadership development that I genuinely enjoy. The lesson I've learned isn't that jobs are bad. It's that one source of income isn't enough security for the life many of us want to build. Especially when people depend on you. Career Redesigned is my weekly newsletter for women who want more security, freedom, and options than one salary alone can provide without quitting or burning out. Inside, I write about:
I don’t believe you have to choose between a job and a business. I don’t believe you have to quit your job to create freedom. And I don’t believe burnout is the price of building a better future. I believe there is a third path. One where you continue investing in your career while building more options, income, and opportunity alongside it. If that resonates with you, I’d love to have you join me. Read Career Redesigned here: https://career-redesigned.com Sharon |
I’m Sharon. Working mom with 30 years in HR. Still in corporate. I help working women make their first $1k/month (and beyond) outside their jobs with what they already know.
$1k/month isn’t life-changing money. But it’s transformational. It’s proof that the skills and experience you already have are enough to start, without quitting your job, without burning out, without a five-year plan. New here? Start with the worksheet "What's your $1k skill?" Download it here.

Making decisions about money when you’re responsible for more than just yourself. — I didn’t make this decision...
